Cancellation Charges a) In the unfortunate event of a booking having to be cancelled confirmed in writing will be needed by the Client. Your deposit will be retained and the following charges will be incurred I) Cancellation received within 90 days of event – 50% of total event cost ii) Cancellation received within 14 days of event – 100% of the total event cost iii) Cancellation Due to Covid Lockdown - Postponement will be allowed for 12 months ONLY if your entire invoice has been paid in full 48 hours before your initial function date. b) The total event cost will be based on the numbers of guests scheduled, at the agreed price per head. c) Any additional costs incurred by Thymekitchen Spit Braai in preparation of the event up until the time of cancellation will be charged to the Client. This is to cover any losses caused to Thymekitchen Spit Braai for administration costs, travel, supplies etc. and will be discussed fully in event of cancellation.

We have had numerous clients postponing their functions to later dates because of the covid-19 virus. We will be giving a grace period of 12 months for all clients whom wish to put their functions on hold. Please let us know at least 14 days before your function should you wish to postpone. the form can be found here and our terms here.

At Thymekitchen we take the coronavirus threats very serious and we have implemented strict measurements to ensure we adhere to proper sanitation in all aspects of our business, from kitchen to stock receiving to staff hygiene. As per South African implemented law we are prohibited to cater for any gatherings or functions of more than 100 people. Steps We Have Implemented. Sanitising station is set up at our entrance which consists of a water basin with anti bacterial hand soap, Hand sanitizer gel, disposable cloths, surgical gloves & face masks. 1. Every staff member entering our premises wash and sanitize their hands, put on a pair of gloves and a mask before entering our premises. 2. Every Supplier delivering goods to our kitchen has to use the sanitizing station before unloading products from trucks. 3. Once goods has been offloaded it is wiped with anti bacterial cleaner before being unpacked to our storeroom, fridges or freezers. 4. Our working areas in the kitchen are sanitized every half hour. 5. Our Catering equipment are washed and sanitized outside of our kitchen (at a cleaning station created specifically for that purpose) before being brought in to our kitchen. 6. Our Delivery staff has sanitising gel in their vehicles at all times as well as gloves and masks which will be worn on arrival and setup of your buffet area. Our suggestion to our clients having a function is to set up your own sanitising station at your venue entrance for your guests to use upon arrival. Guests to was their hands for minimum of 20 seconds and dry hands properly before applying the sanitizer gel. Ask your guests not to greet with hand shakes or hugs ets.

Submit your request, and check your inbox for your spitbraai quote from us, generally we take anything from 5 to 15 minutes to send you a spit braai quote, should we be out of the office we will send you a mail immediately to let you know that we will send your quote as soon as we are back at the office. 4. Once you received your quote, go through it and let us know should you wish to change anything by sending us a email, or sending us a whatsapp, we will amend your quote until you are happy and ready to book your date with us. 5. Once You are happy with your quotation and would like to book your spit braai catering you can check with us if we still have availability for your date and proceed with booking. In order to confirm your date with us we require a 50% deposit payable either via cash, bank transfer or credit card. Our banking details will be on your quote as well as a secure link to pay online via credit card. Once we have received payment we will send you an invoice and confirmation of your function. 6. Once we have received deposit payment and your spitbraai booking has been made we require final numbers 48 hours before your function, we will the amend your invoice for catering & payment purposes. the balance of you payment can be made 48 hours before your function via bank transfer or you are welcome to pay cash or via credit/debit card when we arrive at your function to set up.
